Uses:
Kewra flowers have a very sweet fragrance with a pleasant quality similar to rose flowers, but kewra is more fruity. The watery distillate is quite used in sweets. it can easily be handled and can even be poured using a teaspoon. Kewra Absolute oil is widely used in perfumes as well as for variety of skin and hair preparations. Outputs have an excellent fixative property, that allows it to be utilized in the perfumery industry and in aromatherapy applications.
It is a shrub with fragrant flowers. They are used to extract perfume, aromatic oil and fragrant distillations called keorra-ka-arak (is a Hindi word), These are stimulant and antispasmodic and are used against headache and rheumatism. The flowers are also used to flavour food; kewda essence is used in numerous Indian sweets like rasgulla, petha, rasmalai and burfi, especially in Rajasthan.
